Homes fit for a Premier League star

With the Premier League transfer window now shut for the winter, cashed up footballers will be moving around the country in order to be closer to their team mates and training grounds. Here at FindaProperty we like to help out where we can, so we’ve picked out these homes for sale to help the young chaps settle in.
1. Fernando Torres
The Spanish striker will be getting to know the delights of Chelsea and Surrey after Chelsea paid Liverpool £50 million and set a new record for a transfer between two English clubs.
We say: This sophisticated mansion on the Crown Estate in Oxshott Surrey is within striking distance of Chelsea’s training ground and would suit 26-year-old family man Torres. It would also make him a neighbour to new team mate John Terry.
The six-bedroom family home features an indoor pool complex, air conditioning, personal lift and staff annex as well as extensive gardens. It’s on the market with Knight Frank with a guide price of £3.9 million.
2. Andy Carroll
The Gateshead born 22-year-old will no doubt invest quality time finding his perfect Scouser pub once he’s relocated after Liverpool paid Newcastle £35 million for the goal scoring Carroll who’s well known for his love of the drink.
We say: Carroll would do well to set up home near Liverpool star Steven Garrard, who lives with wife Alex Curran in a £3 million mansion in the Merseyside suburb of Freshfield. Alternatively he could opt for this three bedroom penthouse apartment with sea views in Crosby, Merseyside, which, let’s face it, is probably more Carroll’s style.

3. Luis Suarez
Uruguayan born striker Luis Suarez will up sticks from Dutch club Ajax and relocate to Liverpool after being traded for a tidy £22.7 million.
We say: Family man Suarez, who has a daughter with wife Sofia, should head for Woolton, Merseyside, the suburb Fernando Torres has been calling home ahead of his move to Chelsea.
This four bedroom Grade II listed semi has recently been updated and features a lounge room, study, dining room and kitchen as well as a courtyard and detached garage with space for four cars.
It’s on the market with Entwistle Green for £1 million.
You’ll never play away from home again

With a little research, we have good reason to believe that this is, or was, the 4-bedroom detached (with gym, pool, cinema and sauna) home belonging to England and Tottenham Hotspur footballer, Aaron Lennon.

Because we list every UK home, provide free value estimates for any UK home and constantly update our information via many sources, including the collective intelligence of the community of over 4 million users, the chances are we’ll know quite a bit.
Here is the 4-bedroom detached home (called Badgers) in the Home Values section of Zoopla.co.uk and we value this property at £2,598,953.
Looking at the change in value of the property, over the last year it’s up £313,286 (13.7%), but compared to the last two years it’s down £56,686 (-2.1%). So his timing’s not bad.

In terms of previous sold prices, we know that the current owner bought the property on January 26th 2007 for £2,435,000. A little before that time, Lennon signed a new 5 ½ year deal worth £20,000 a week with Tottenham on 8 January 2007, which will keep him at the club until 2012.
Other sold prices for this property are as follows:
28th June 2002 - £1,500,000
2nd September 1996 - £600,000
It’s currently listed for sale by two agents at an asking price of £2,600,000.

So, assuming that it is his and he sold at the asking, it looks like Mr Lennon could make – £165,000 on the sale, based on the purchase price of £2,435,000 in Jan 2007 (not including fees etc).
