We’ve added Houseprices.co.uk, the UK’s #1 sold house prices website, to the growing list of websites that we now either own directly or power exclusively.
Launched in 2005, Houseprices.co.uk was one of the first websites in the UK to offer Land Registry sold house price information free to consumers. It quickly became, and has since remained, the leading standalone website for property price paid data in the UK, attracting over 1 million visits per month and consistently listed as one of the Top 10 most-visited property websites in the UK, according to Nielsen (Source: MediaTel/UKOM).
Houseprices.co.uk offers users free access to over 11 million house price paid records in England and Wales that have sold since 2000. We will continue to operate it as a separate brand and website but it will now link directly to the Zoopla.co.uk website, allowing users to easily access local properties for sale, current property value estimates and other features and tools available on the Zoopla.co.uk website whilst also extending our reach even further and giving our agent and developer members exposure to a unique and unrivalled online audience.
The deal is a natural fit for us given our strength in online property pricing information. It is also a win for estate agents and homebuilders who advertise their properties on Zoopla.co.uk as they will now benefit from further exposure and leads as a result of this deal.
Houseprices.co.uk has built a very strong following over the years by offering a great service, which we intend to continue.

Grant Shapps, the Conservatives’ former shadow housing minister, has confirmed, via his twitter page last night, that he has been appointed Minister of State for Housing.
It is understood that the role no longer has Cabinet status and therefore, unlike his Labour predecessor, he will not attend Cabinet meetings.
Is this, coupled with the time it took to make the appointment, an indication as to where housing is on the list of priorities?
Let us know your thoughts below.
A full guide to Cabinet members can be found here.

Back in August we were told by the organisers of the Daily Mail UK Residential Property Awards 2009 that we had won an award in the Best UK Property Portal category. However, we were also told that we’d have to wait until 16th October to find out whether it was to be one of a few four-star award slots or the only top five-star slot.
Thankfully on Friday last week at London’s Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square that long wait came to an end. We were crowned ‘Best UK Property Portal’ at the 2009 Daily Mail UK Residential Property Awards and awarded our shiny, five-star, framed certificate!
As the only top-scoring ‘five-star’ winner, Zoopla.co.uk will be the only UK portal to now compete at the International Property Awards in California, USA against other winning companies from Asia Pacific, Europe & Africa, the Americas and Arabia to find the World’s Best Property Portal.
We are delighted and honoured to have been named as the winner of this prestigious award. It’s been a busy year for us so far and we’re looking forward to representing the UK against the other winning property portals from around the world.
We’ve just been looking at our own internal figures and we’ve achieved some pretty impressive growth stats for July.
Visits to the the Zoopla.co.uk site were over 1.35 million; making that a month on month increase of 25 per cent.
Unique users and page views on Zoopla.co.uk were also both up by a record 24 per cent standing at 922,000 users and over 10.7 million pages viewed in July. Once we have fully integrated ThinkProperty.com it looks like these figures will grow even further!
We’re delighted that so many of you are enjoying Zoopla.co.uk and we’re finding all your feedback really helpful, so keep it coming.
